I had passed on stopping in to Cafe Crepe over the past year, mostly due to its location below a hotel. Wrongfully assuming it might be touristy, I bit the bullet for brunch this weekend-- and I'm glad I did.
Dining at Cafe Crepe is as close to dining in Paris as we can get here in Austin. It's quaint; diners are seated intimately adjacent to one another. Mix-match China-plate clocks adorn the walls, and the charming French-accent owner is ever-present and attentive.
I enjoyed the Norwegian crepe, with smoked salmon and herb Boursin. My date enjoyed the Greek crepe, which was also delicious.
The menu offers an array of sweet crepes too, many incorporating Nutella, fresh fruit, and chocolate. (I strongly recommend ordering your own savory crepe and splitting a sweet one afterward!)
In addition to their fresh coffee and lattes, wine and beer are also served, making Cafe Crepe... très parfait!
