New York Fashion Week: Christian Siriano brings the drama

Anna Karenina in the house!
Designer Christian Siriano seemed to be drawing inspiration from the classic literary character for his Fall 2013 collection.
Against a lush background of red floor-to-ceiling curtains and three grand chandeliers, the designer showed nearly 40 lush, glamorous looks to a snow-weary crowd.
Shades of black, gold, fuchsia, white and silver were seen on a variety of luxe fabrics like silk, lame, velvet, faux fur, knits and brocade.
The standout piece from the collection was the entirely sheer gold beaded mesh illusion gown, which left, um, very little to the imagination. A metallic wool double-breasted suit in an eye-poppingly bright fuchsia also caught audience members' attention.
Models also walked down the catwalk in an array of architectural heels that Siriano designed in conjunction with Payless.
Siriano, who came to prominence via reality TV, proved once again that he's a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world.
